We chose the Riedel Farm Estate and Anoka County's Riverfront Regional Park for its historic elegance.  It seemed a fitting location for a gathering recalling a family of Minnesota farmers.  (Plus, Fridley was a more convenient location for most attendees than Adrian, Minnesota.)

Descendents of the Bittner family have lived in Anoka County for 100 years.  While Nobles County, Minnesota holds significance as the place where Michael and Theresa Bittner's children grew up, Anoka County is where their oldest son, Frank, settled in 1901, and where several of Frank's great-grandchildren still live today.

Riverfront Regional Park is located on the Mississippi River, just south of I-694.
